Yeah, I'm leaving deviantart. This is not some desperate attempt for pageviews (maybe). I'm tired of this place. And no I don't hate it. I have nothing against the great people I've met here but I don't have any interest in putting my art onto a site just so it could get pageviews and favorites. I want something else, as simple as I can put it.

I left a few comics in the gallery because people liked those quite a lot it seems, oh and because they had the most pageviews. Wow that sorta contradicts what I typed in the above paragraph.

Anywho, is there any other reason why I'm leaving? [Beware: Rant below]
Why yes, there is. I'm a little annoyed by the fact some anime obsessed kid's drawing is getting more attention on this site than people who actually deserve it...amongst other various reasons:

1) Kids (and weird adults) draw fan art about a videogame (friggin' Kingdom Hearts and Sonic) or an anime (like Naruto which is about some kid who looks constipated and those two friends he constantly hangs out with: Humourless Dick and Pink-haired bastard child. Hell, they aren't even ninjas! Ninjas don't talk more than they fight and they certainly don't get up in their asses with morals) and normal cartoons (If I see one more Invader Zim fanart...). Some fan art isn't bad because it actually requires effort and I like the more clever kids who use well-known characters in funny comics without the use of "-chan, -ban, -san" at the end of their names (Oh Roxas-san! Friggin' Japanglish)

2) Kids (and the sexually incompetent) draw some anime girl with disturbingly huge breasts, mainly that poor Final Fantasy VII girl Tifa. She's only a kid for god sakes. Oh and somehow, the horny boys (and girls) who'll never get action in their lives enjoy this. Also, for some strange reason those type of drawings go under the mature content radar. I can't see some of my own art because it uses "fuck", "shit" or shows little if any violence yet some kid can trot around knowing his diamond-cutter nipple freak-lady is being viewed by some 10 year old. (fap-fap)

3) Don't get me started with yaoi and hentai. Those things are for the sexually disturbed. To think anime porn is considered a great work of art and deserving of high praise and following is beyond me. And astonishingly, the people who are responsible for this abomination also have some obsession with Japan. Japan's a beautiful place (with extremely twisted means entertainment-never knew a woman in a bikini with bunny ears slapping a man in nude as part of a gameshow could get such a large audience and high ratings)...but most of the artists don't know a thing about Japan, except maybe adding -kun and -san after every word. Heh, sounds like rant #1. It's like guidos...they take pride in their Italian heritage but don't know a damn thing about it. Hell, to make matters worse, they tan and make themselves all orange and oompa-loompa-ish. So not only are they stupid they're going to kick the bucket soon with a heaping dose of Mr. Cancer.

How the hell did I drive off topic?

4) I include anthro crap too...I mean, how can a bear-pig-man (or man-bear-pig) turn someone on or even be considered art? Hey, I'm all for talking animals but when you turn them upright and make them engage in uh....furry...sex....then you probably need to see a therapist.

5) Some of the artists on this site are really good. Others, well...not so much. At least in my opinion anyway. So I begin to wonder why some girl who draws Axel kissing Roxas a thousand times has 1,000,000 pageviews on their homepage while a good friend of mine who draws damn good non-anime pictures has only 1,000. Oh and some artists like to reuse their works only with minor differences. Some guy's gallery consist of the same potrait of a girl's head only with different designs on her face. That's real expressive. Lastly, some porn-addict who draws porn and enjoys porn about porn has 4,000,000 pageviews. That's creepy. (fap again)

6) Some artists aren't even artists. Like the emo kids (Thinking they live harsh lives. There are starving kids in Ethiopia you know...) and the goths (my mommy never hugged me) who take pictures of themselves in depressing poses because they think it's deep. It's not deep. Sesame Street is deeper. Also, how can people take you seriously if your names are "Reiko-chan", "D4rkAby55" and "Bitchslapper13"?

I like "xXdEm0n-sEpH1r0ThXx" the most.

7) My last reason are some of the idiots on this site...Like drones they go after the most popular kids on this site and suck - up to them saying "Oh you're art is so good!" "I want to draw just like you! l0lz!1!". Just because they have 1,000,000 views does not make them great artists. Nope. They're popular for other reasons (see reasons above). And when you have a bazillion watches on your site and then post shit because they know it'll gain pageviews (like a giant blank page with two little animals in the center or a crayon drawing) THAT'S TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE SYSTEM!!! COMMIES!!!

8) Not technically a reason but more of rants from other people. Go to encyclopedia dramatica and type in Deviantart. Read about all the nice things people say about this site. Sure the people who write the articles are pessimists and just hate everyone and everything, but they do have some pretty good criticisms on there about dA.

Heh, some pseudo-List of Grievances I always said I would make but never did. Okay, I'm done with my bitching and moaning. Far happier now. And wait till the hate comments come in! Oh joy! Well, at least try to respect my opinion and I'll respect yours. That's basic human rational reasoning. Anywho, I really do think a lot of artists really deserve a lot of applause for what they've accomplished. Some made hilarious flash sites while others made humourous cartoons and sick drawings.

Technically, I might come back if I really felt like it. I'll still check up on the site just to see good art. Hell, I might just drop in and say hi, have a cup of tea and what not.

Finally, I want to show respect to some of the really good artists on the site. My stuff sucks compared to them...well...always did but whatever. But I don't want to mention only a few people in this journal because then it'll seem like I'm showing favoritism or something. I don't know. Haha. But on my watch list (the very small watch list) are a list of great artists. The people I watch are great artists too. Check them all out.

So what else is there to say? See you around? No, no...how about get rid of all the anime freaks who are ruining this site. I call a riot!
